Day and Night Having Fun

Watched movie, District 9, at Cathay: $7.50

That was totally worth it, add another $6.50 for the popcorn combo. I was much relaxed in the seat and the movie is a total blast. Somemore, this is produced by Peter Jackson, the director of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Its definitely got class.

Party at Attica, Clark Quay: $15.00

I didnt enjoy this. Don't think I got my money's worth. The dance floor is squeezy, and the deejay was spinning dance music which I didnt really appreciate. House drink I had was tequila, but not my taste. At the end, I had encounters with sweaty bodies, beer bellies, elbows and spectacle knocks. The best way to spread T-virus around is to release it in nightclubs. Totally ownage.

Vanilla Ice Cream

I came across a photo which I took while sampling a new flavored vanilla ice cream and my eyes popped out at the following caption......

"Vanilla got nuts!"

What on earth does that mean anyway? The vanilla got nutty or simply the vanilla has gone nuts? Oh my goodness........

Goodbye, My Dear Ah Gong......

I remembered I was in the ward room 25 of Block 73, SGH with my mom...... just next to us, my Ah Gong was lying on the hospital bed. I could see a ghastly pall over his face, and he had grown even thinner and sullen than before. My mom asked if he could recognize me. He said with much difficulty that too man people had visited him already. (This includes the fact that he has too many grandchildren to remember their faces, including mine.)

Suddenly, Ah Gong groaned that he wanted to 'pang sai' (pass motion) and he began to wheeze repeatedly, and made a feeble request for the doctor. I alerted the doctor to attend to Ah Gong, and as the doctor began to examine him and quickly covered the bed with the curtain, leaving my mom and I to stand out of the way.

I knew by then that this could be the very last moment of Ah Gong. Currently, there is still the alert for H1N1 and only two patients are allowed for visitation at the hospital at any one time. My cousin and his wife had arrived and my mom and I met them at the lobby to exchange visitation stickers.

I waited with some of my relatives, my 1st auntie's husband and daughter near the waiting area of level one. That was when that fateful call arrived to announce that Ah Gong had passed away......

Even though Ah Gong did not make it, I still thank God because I was confident that the Lord was with him through his suffering and pain. Thank God that he passed away peacefully and without much pain as well. Thank God........ :)

Relationship Advice - When you get ensnared in BGR.......

Now, there is something I thought while I was taking a bath, and I would want to bring this up to everyone. This is words of wisdom shared to me by a scoutie bomoh back in secondary school. This is what the bomoh said.......

When you are attached to a boy/girl, chances are you will spend more time with them and less time with friends. But don't be a bastard to your friends such that you totally neglect them, 'cos the thing is, reality will bite back at you. The day comes when that guy/girl dumps you, and that you decide to go back to your friends for consolation, but they are the ones whom you left out in the cold in the first place. By then, it is too late to mop in regrets.

That is what the bomoh said, take heed all those who are already attached or fallen in love.......

Drawing Life - (Giving each postings a title)

I don't think I am a naturally-born artist, but I have learnt throughout the years to appreciate the delicate nuances of art around me. I have been thinking about how breathe life into the drawings/sketches I have made. Like if you are drawing from what you see from a model standing before you, how are you going to translate that realistic feel onto the paper.

Well I guess first and foremost, you have to make sharp observations of the model before you. And train your intuition as your mind tells you where and when to make that line a curved one or a straight one. Another important aspect is lighting, like which areas are the darkest and lightest. I really have to thank Mr Dilip Sir for teaching me the basics of all that is about drawing and patiently guiding me and answering my questions.

About a month ago, I was doing outdoor sketching and I drew trees using charcoal on paper. Here it is......

Whose blog is this? So wordy and so little pics......

Hmm...... who cares?

This morning, I found a stash of potato chips from Mark & Spencers. I bought them for the outing so that I can share with everyone else, but nobody touched them at all. When I was at the M & S store, an auntie nearby said she highly recommended that bag of chips. I held one packet in my hand...... Well, the packet reads Crinkle Potato Chips, Lightly Salted and it is red in color. Went back home with one packet and gave it a try. I was impresssed.

The chips is crunchy. After you have finished the whole packet, it doesn't leave a salty taste in your mouth. The seasoning was just right. So here's my verdict......

Mark & Spencer's Crinkle Potato Chips: 8/10

Here's the pic......

Jamie wanted half of it, I am not sure if there is going to be any packet left. That is, if I can control myself not to finish the rest of the packets......
I am currently feeling like a zombie playing with a keyboard...... my fingers are not musically dexterous.

Thank God, I have two friends, Jonathan and Rod who came to West Coast Park and I managed to introduce them to a great bunch of people, who came from all walks of life. The outing at West Coast Park turned out alright, and we also said Singapore pledge with so much pride. Towards the end, we were playing flying fox at the playground and we were also sharing the station with young children around the age of 4 & 5. I was pushed by Guo Wei and Tianxi when I was on it but no one could see two young girls on the other end. Crashed! I sent a girl flying off. Thank God she was alright and saved by the net. Well thank God for placing safety precaution there.

Oh boy, my fingers cannot move anymore, I am just going to stop here......

How I will like to describe my life?

Boring, boring, boring......

Sometimes, I am just lazy to decide for myself and I just followed what other people said or suggested. Oh well, I am going to make decisions for myself, but they will all be based on the Godly principles...... O' Conviction, where thou art?

P.S
Am I going to get a tagboard? Maybe not...... right now, my blog is squeaky clean......

Chilled out with Produce and Rod on Friday, which carried over to the Saturday. Great time, we walked a lot, talked a lot and stretched our legs on seats a lot. Barely have much sleep and I gave tuition in the next morning. It ended with me feeling numb with fatigue. In the afternoon at Central, I was shooting zombies with Tianxi and Nico but it turned out that I felt like a zombie myself. While playing, I was drinking that Kung Fu milk tea and boy, it was deadly. My stomach didn't really agree and I dun tink that I will be drinking milk tea for a while.

Picked up Jamie and Mich and there was cell later, but I could feel that I was nauseaus. Dinner was set at Changi Airport Popeyes and my passengers were Mich, Jamie, Nico and Huimin, Shawn was in front. Thank God he helped me to concentrate on driving. It was a chiros moment when fireworks lit up the sky and the girls at the back were screaming. Huimin gave her combo of the serial laughter, which was seriously no joking matter. Luckily, the car didnt overturn. During dinner, I didnt eat much as I really didnt have any appetite at all. Groan......

And....... today, could not make it for GKidz as I was afraid of spreading germs to the kidz. I was feeling slightly feverish and slight nauseous too. After the sermon at expo, my mind is filled with the question of "What did you see?" I also felt that having a heart of compassion is not about feeling, but also doing. But first, pray for the Day of His Power and Love Singapore.

Went with the cell for lunch at Tampines food court. Then we gave Nyk a shock of his life by singing a super duper random Happy Birthday song to Nyk. Ha, gotcha! It wasnt his birthday though. The day rounded off with guy cell tagging along for shopping at Far East with the girls, along the way, managed a sneak peek at Orchard Ion. Nice and classy. After we were tired out and indulged ourselves with mango dessert and bubble tea (and others, cant remember.....), I managed to vandalize the table at Graffiti Bar (not sure if its the name) and capture everyone on the table. We have Chris, Nyk, Guowei, Nico, Jamie and Mich drawn by yours truly. I think that table is worth millions in the future. Anyway, right now, I felt much better. So...... thank God for that. It was a....... relaxing weekend......
